Derzeit findet in Tokyo Big Sight, Japan, ein technisches Seminar rund um Flat Panel Displays (FPD) statt. Das meldet ZDNet. Entwickler Takeshi Kiyuna von Nintendo sprach über technische Vor- und Nachteile von FPDs und auch über erste Daten des GBA-Nachfolgers.
Die aktuelle Game Boy Advance SP hat eine Auflösung von 240 x 160 Pixel (115.200 Pixel). Der ‚Next Generation‘ Game Boy soll mindestens eine Auflösung von 300 (RGB) x 200 Pixel (180.000 Pixel) bei 260.000 Farben haben.
Desweiteren sind diese Gerüchte im Umlauf über Technische Daten des GBA Nachfolgers mit dem Codenamen Next Generation Gameboy:
